The Aatma full-frame prime lenses redefine cinematic optics by blending the timeless quality and emotive character of classic Zeiss lenses with cutting-edge optical engineering. The nine T1.5 primes (18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 85mm, 100mm, and 135mm) offer beautifully rendered skin tones, seamless focus transitions, and a distinctive soap-bubble bokeh, maintaining consistency across focal lengths. Enhanced with Zeiss eXtended Data (XD) and CinCraft ecosystem compatibility, these lenses are optimized for visual effects, camera tracking, and virtual production.
“The Aatma lenses are the first in a long time from a major manufacturer that have truly excited me,” says David Dvir, founder and CEO of 2D House. “They stand in a class of their own.” With a rich background in both still and motion photography, Dvir was particularly impressed by the test footage of exterior foliage. “Capturing such scenes is challenging due to the difficulty in distinguishing between foreground and background, yet the Aatma lenses’ unique bokeh effect remarkably highlights these planes,” he notes.
Upon receiving the Aatma lenses in early June 2026, they were promptly rented out.
